California Historical Society: Native Portraits
When Ed Drew was asked to photograph an intensive “talking circle” of Native Americans, he did not realize how inspired he would become. But inspired he was, and because of this he decided to create tintypes (a way of photo printing, not Tin Man cosplayers) of members of the Klamath, Modoc, and Pit River Paiute tribes as a way to examine their struggles and reclaim their freedom. See them now at the California Historical Society.
