AGITPROP! Social Justice Film and TV

Mid Century Productions is inviting you to a night of social justice programming, called AGITPROP! Doesn’t really roll off the tongue, but hang with me. They will be taking over the Roxie Theatre for screenings of The Benefactor,” a 1962 episode of THE DEFENDERS, a newly restored 35mm print of OPEN SECRET, and CROSSFIRE (1947), arguably the greatest social justice noir of the classic era. It will be a night of classic black and white stories with a message. Hey, it beats whatever’s on CBS, am I right?
