Balkan Folkdance

Ashkenaz Music and Dance Community Center has been bringing the goods for years. It is the place in the Bay Area that you seek out when you’re ready to experience true world music and culture. The Balkan Folkdance is a monthly event that revives the 70s style Berkeley folk-dancing with some international request dancing to recorded music, capturing the spirit that David Nadel was inspired by when he opened Ashkenaz in 1973.
