In the Bay Area premiere of Barbecue, you’ll watch as a family tries to stage an intervention for their drug-addicted sister by masking it as a family barbecue, a ploy they learned from reality TV. And if they learned it from reality TV, there’s bound to be some drama in this dramedy. Featuring themes of race, poverty, and the American family, this play will leave you thinking about the roles these themes play in our own lives.
