The Feelings of Life
Bonus Event – You can book this event even if you have another event booked.
Have a dance dance revelation at the San Francisco Dance Film Festival! Established in 2010, the SFDFF was created to give the Bay Area a way to showcase and nourish dance based films. From dancing “birds” to an exploration of the arts and sciences, there’s a dance film for everyone during this festival. Whether you have two left feet or the arches of a prima ballerina, you’re sure to enjoy these captivating musical movement masterpieces. In the film Feelings Are Facts: The Life of Yvonne Rainer you’ll explore the life of Yvonne Rainer (duh), a postmodern dance maverick constantly pushing the boundaries of America’s avant-garde. Featuring short film “Territoire” and followed by a conversation with director Jack Walsh and Rebecca Chaleff, PhD Candidate in the Department of Theater and Performance Studies at Stanford University.
