SF Dance Film Festival “Rare Birds”
A Swan of a Different Color
Bonus Event – You can book this event even if you have another event booked.
Have a dance dance revelation at the San Francisco Dance Film Festival! Established in 2010, the SFDFF was created to give the Bay Area a way to showcase and nourish dance based films. From dancing “birds” to an exploration of the arts and sciences, there’s a dance film for everyone during this festival. Whether you have two left feet or the arches of a prima ballerina, you’re sure to enjoy these captivating musical movement masterpieces. In the film “Rare Birds” they take on Alexander Ekman’s A Swan Lake at the Norwegian National Ballet, following Ekman as he takes the dance from idea to completion. Kind of like Black Swam without all the dangerous undertones. Featuring short films Memory House and Instar.
