Cinema Kabuki: RENJISHI & RAKUDA (Double Feature)

In the double feature, Cinema Kabuki: RENJISHI & RAKUDA, you’ll enjoy two films starring one of the best kabuki actors ever, Nakamura Kanzaburo. In RENJISHI you’ll watch as Kanzaburo and his sons, Kankuro and Shichinosuke, enact the famous lion dance that explores the relationship between father and sons (like Lion King but more epic). In RAKUDA, Kanzaburo stars in a black comedy about rent and death.

About the Japan Film Festival:
The Japan Film Festival is hosted by the SUPERFROG Project, a non-profit organization with the goal of educating people all over about Japanese culture, and is part of the 2017 J-POP Summit. It’s the first fully dedicated festival to Japanese cinema featuring films that cover all genres.
