Who has two thumbs and started winning international guitar competitions at the age of 11? Alvaro Pierri! Using his two thumbs and eight fingers, Pierri has toured the world beating other guitarist in Argentina, Brazil, and France. Born in Uruguay to a family of musicians, Pierri has studied with the best, performed with the best, and taught the best. He has toured the major concert halls in Europe, Asia, and North and South America. Twice he won the Canadian FELIX award for best classical CD. As icing on the guitar cake, he received a glowing review in The New York Times.
