Debora Iyall Group (of Romeo Void)
Debora Iyall is best known as the lead singer and lyricist of Romeo Void, a San Francisco band that mined the sexy veins of new wave music. Iyall is a fearless performer, a good time party girl one moment, a woman bravely baring the most intimate details of her soul the next. Her full band line-up goes by the moniker Debora Iyall Group, DIG. Most know Iyall from her Romeo Void hits, 1981’s dance club and alternative radio staple “Never Say Never” which was used in Martin Scorsese’s 2014 film “Wolf of Wall St.” and 1984’s “A Girl In Trouble (Is a Temporary Thing)” which brought them to Dick Clark’s American Bandstand in 1982 and was a Top 40 hit for the band.
