The music world owes a lot to the black roots sound. Without it, there would be no blues, jazz, soul, R&B, rock, and by extension, most musicians. Fantastic Negrito is keeping this tradition alive by playing the most authentic, powerful, black roots/blues this side of the Mississippi. And their deliberate rejection of phony, polished pop makes them prime for indie stardom. They’re not interested in pandering to the masses, if that means the music suffers. It shows.
