(((folkYEAH!))) Presents: Acetone

When the band Spinout spun out in 1987, three of the core members, Mark Lightcap, Richie Lee, and Steve Hadley reunited in 1992 to form Acetone. After nine years in the grunge music scene, which saw them recording on Virgin Records and performing with The Verve and Oasis, the band disbanded after Lee’s suicide in 2001. With the 2017 release of the music anthology “Acetone 1992-2001” and a novelization of their history in the book “Hadley Lee Lightcap,” Acetone’s music is being rediscovered. Lightcap and Hadley had only planned one concert together but, after having so much fun, they’re doing it again.
