Here’s the story, backwards (and assuming you know nothing about the Dead): It’s 2015 and the surviving members of the Grateful Dead get together for a few shows and (longtime Grateful Dead drummer) Bill Kreutzmann’s kid, Justin, is shooting the shows for a documentary and he needs just the right music for the AV presentation during intermission, so he commissions the aforementioned music and offers it as a collection called Interludes for the Dead. And C’s Around the S –who are, we hasten to add, a “Grateful Dead-approved” (Rolling Stone) band– contributed to that awesome two-disc collection. Jamming with the GD Seal of Approval!
