Inara Morgenstern & Victoria Neve

Inara Morgenstern and Victoria Neve, both of whom are on the Music Faculty at San Francisco State University, have performed as a piano duo for over thirty years. Over the years they have found special delight in assembling theme concerts, including annual Hallowe’en extravaganzas every October at San Francisco State. Their concert this afternoon will feature Crumb’s Eine Kleine Mitternachtmusik (performed by Victoria Neve, solo) and a seasonal mix of scary pieces for four hands by Gounod, Reineke, Dukas, Schumann, Alfredo Casella, and Toby Twining—with a little extra eeriness from a toy piano! Morgenstern and Neve will be joined by Ariela Morgenstern for some wonderfully spooky vocal selections as well.
