Jessie Evans

A fan of the English 2-Tone bands The Selecter and The Specials, Jessie Evans learned the saxophone as a teenager and moved to San Francisco, forming the influential all-girl new wave quartet Subtonix. Shortly after, she began singing and playing bass and started the Vanishing. In 2004 she moved to Berlin and formed the synthetic duet Autonervous with Bettina Koester of the 80’s German all-girl darkwave band Malaria!
