Kung Pao Kosher Comedy Presents… Charo!

Charo (born María Rosario Pilar Martínez Molina Baeza in Murcia, Spain) is much more than just cuchi cuchi. The music and pop culture icon is a singer, dancer, comedian, actress, and an accomplished classical and flamenco guitarist. She has made countless TV appearances including Love Boat, Chico, and the Man, The Ed Sullivan Show, Laugh-In, The Carol Burnett Show, The Sonny and Cher Show, Hollywood Squares, The Surreal Life and tons more. Charo, who last performed in San Francisco in 2008, will entertain the audience with both her solo flamenco guitar as well as being accompanied by a 4-piece back-up band.

Kung Pao Kosher Comedy™ Presents has been producing local comedy events since 1993. In addition to bringing Charo to San Francisco for the third time, producer Lisa Geduldig produces the annual Kung Pao Kosher Comedy™ (Jewish comedy on Christmas in a Chinese Restaurant), now in its 27th year, monthly shows at El Rio in San Francisco and Ashkenaz in Berkeley, and 2 shows a year at the Freight & Salvage in Berkeley.
