Lee Ranadlo of Sonic Youth (Solo Acoustic)
Finally, Something Good to Come out of Hurricane Sandy
Legendary Sonic Youth founder Lee Ranaldo has had a long and lustrous career plying his trademark sound around the world. After 30-some odd years of touring with the beloved group, a change was in order. He has crafted a unique acoustic album “Hurricane Sandy Transcriptions,” a solo work born out of, you guessed it, his time in New York in the aftermath of the storm. The work is deeply personal, yet relatable to everyone. You can’t help be moved by Ranadio’s work. He’ll be plying some of these tunes at the SAMH very soon, so get in on it now.
