Lieder Alive & Goethe Institut Present: Beethoven & Schubert

LIEDER ALIVE! is thrilled to be presenting the North American premiere of a new work by German composer Anno Schreier co-commissioned by the Deutsche Oper Berlin. Anno is considered a rising star in German contemporary music, besides vocal, orchestral, and chamber works, he has written several large-scale operas. The commissioned work – set to poems by German poet Nora Bossong–will be performed by our own beloved Artist-in–Residence, mezzo-soprano Kindra Scharich and collaborating pianist John Parr, who is the Head of Music Staff at Deutsche Oper Berlin and also LIEDER ALIVE!’s Master Coach.
