Melvin Seals & JGB with Lebo & Friends

Famed keyboardist Melvin Seals sat behind the legendary Jerry Garcia as they toured with the Jerry Garcia Band from 1980-1995. After the front man’s death, Seals was determined to keep Garcia’s music alive. He formed JGB as a tribute to Garcia, but they are not a “tribute band” in the normal sense of the word. Seals does not wear a Garcia wig, or sport a worn Garcia-style T-shirt. Instead he commands the keyboard, playing Garcia’s songs in Garcia’s style, with a decidedly Seals flair. Jerry may be gone from the Jerry Garcia Band, but he’s certainly not forgotten.
