Created 8 years ago by Ruthe Stein and Jack Bair, The Mostly British Film Festival was created to show Bay Area audiences the very best in cinema from the UK, Ireland, Australia, India, New Zealand and South Africa (hence the “mostly” part), since a lot of American movie theaters only want to play Star Wars every day, at all times for months. The dark British film “Chicken” is about the relationship between a young boy and, you guessed it, a chicken. It’s about other things too like, abusive familial relationships, secrets, dark pasts, etc, but the titular chicken is the most adorable.
