Mostly British Film Festival: Iona
Iona Goes to Iona
Created 8 years ago by Ruthe Stein and Jack Bair, The Mostly British Film Festival was created to show Bay Area audiences the very best in cinema from the UK, Ireland, Australia, India, New Zealand and South Africa (hence the “mostly” part), since a lot of American movie theaters only want to play Star Wars every day, at all times for months. In the film “Iona,” a girl named Iona, goes back to her home on the Scottish Isle of Iona to a family still dealing with a dark past. Hopefully that past doesn’t involve the fact that they are all named “Iona.”
