Created nine years ago by Ruthe Stein and Jack Bair, The Mostly British Film Festival was started to show Bay Area audiences the very best in cinema from the UK, Ireland, Australia, India, New Zealand and South Africa (hence the “mostly” part), since a lot of American movie theaters only want to play La La Land every day, at all times for months. In Epic of Everest you’ll experience a silent documentary about the Everest expedition of 1924, the third attempt the climb the mountain. You’ll feel like you’re there except you’ll be in a warm theater instead of an unforgiving snowy tundra.
