Mostly British Film Festival Presents: Parched
Created nine years ago by Ruthe Stein and Jack Bair, The Mostly British Film Festival was started to show Bay Area audiences the very best in cinema from the UK, Ireland, Australia, India, New Zealand and South Africa (hence the “mostly” part), since a lot of American movie theaters only want to play La La Land every day, at all times for months. In Parched you’ll follow the stories of the women in an Indian village as they try and escape a culture that doesn’t value their women, based on real conversations with Indian women.
