Mostly British Film Festival: Tanna
This Film Ranks Ten out of Tanna
Created 8 years ago by Ruthe Stein and Jack Bair, The Mostly British Film Festival was created to show Bay Area audiences the very best in cinema from the UK, Ireland, Australia, India, New Zealand and South Africa (hence the “mostly” part), since a lot of American movie theaters only want to play Star Wars every day, at all times for months. The film “Tanna” is about forbidden love, strength, and tribal traditions. The entire movie was shot on the South Pacific nation of Vanautu (plan your vacay there now before Air B&B gets it) and won the Critics Week prize at the Venice Film festival.
