Mostly British Film Festival: The Long Good Friday
Does Longer Make It Good-er?
Created 8 years ago by Ruthe Stein and Jack Bair, The Mostly British Film Festival was created to show Bay Area audiences the very best in cinema from the UK, Ireland, Australia, India, New Zealand and South Africa (hence the “mostly” part), since a lot of American movie theaters only want to play Star Wars every day, at all times for months. In The Long Good Friday, Bob Hoskins (Smee from Hook) plays a scarface-like gangster trying to grow his gangster empire until he finds a traitor in his organization. Do British snitches get stitches? Book these tickets and find out!
