Mother Lear

In Mother Lear you’ll follow the story of a dementia ridden scholar who communicates with her caretaker’s daughter using only words from Shakespeare’s King Lear. Thankfully, there’s a lot of words in that play, she’d be at a disadvantage if it were Dr. Suess or something. Through the words of the Bard, this play explores the themes of love, death, and family in a new way. Following the performance will be a conversation about the themes of death and dying portrayed in the play.
