The folks at CounterPulse (“a Space for Art and Community”) present (as part of their Performing Diaspora 2017) Mother The Verb., a  a queer/trans dance performance, produced and created by Ivan “Ivy” Monteiro, Javier Stell-Fresquez, and Davia Spain. The Performing Diaspora supports artists that are “drawing on tradition as a radical way to be responsive, inclusive, and support equity.” MTB creators say they’re “a trinity of young, fierce, POC femmes” and their piece explores “the glorification and damnation of our many mothers.”
