¡Murales Rebeldes! Film Series: The Art of Being Edythe Boone

Join us for the third film that celebrates our exhibition ¡Murales Rebeldes!: L.A. Chicana/Chicano Murals under Siege, A New Color: The Art of Being Edythe Boone. Watch the film, then meet the director, Marlene “Mo” Morris and mural artist Edythe Boone, who will answer questions from the audience about the film. Mo’s intimate character-driven storytelling uses humor and authenticity to invite audiences into the complex lives of her protagonists. Her work confronts challenging social issues while inspiring us to embrace our common humanity and work toward a more socially just and peaceful world.
