NightLife Spotlight

NightLife celebrates National Women’s History Month with a spotlight on women in science from the Academy and other Bay Area institutions—whether you’re an aspiring scientist or you just love NightLife, there’s plenty to discover. Learn about the pioneering achievements and adventures of some of the Academy’s first female collections managers and curators with Rebekah Kim, Academy librarian. Throughout the night you’ll get a crash course in a dozen scientific fields, from mammalogy to coral reefs and infectious diseases to forests, with pop-up lightning talks and a panel discussion presented by 500 Women Scientists. Get inspired by fascinating animals from our scientific collections during a watercolor workshop with Tiffany Bozic, an artist whose colorful work depicts surreal nature-inspired scenes.
