Noise Pop Presents: Blanck Mass

While listening to the electronic music of Benjamin John Power—and watching some of his trippy videos on YouTube—we got the impression that he has a sense of humor. (Our favorite video consists solely of footage of Power as he glides through Disney World’s It’s a Small World ride!) Perhaps a sense of humor is a prerequisite for being one half of the drone music duo F*** Buttons, as playful a band name as has ever been. Power calls his solo project Blanck Mass and he has released his self-produced album of “aching, ambient drone” Pitchfork called “Land Disasters.” See him live.
