Phil Hanley is a master of the dead pan, subdued humor. He lulls you in with a false sense of security, with his docile voice and self-deprecating ways, but his humor is packed and non-stop. There is a sort of longevity to his style of comedy, you won’t be tired out by spastic absurdity and irritating puppets. Puppets don’t belong in comedy! Phil is a Canadian native, but don’t hold that against him. He’s sure to please. And he sort of looks like the lead singer of Death Cab for Cutie, so that’s a plus. The show will also feature Brendan Lynch and Zach Chapaloni. They’re cool too.
