Popscene Presents: Opia

Indie electronic group Opia was formed while its members, Cole Citrenbaum (vocals/guitar) and DJ Stanfill (vocals/keys), were students at Yale studying math and physics. They caught the attention of BBC Radio 1, Spotify, and Time Magazine with their debut release, “Falling,” in 2016. An instant viral hit, the song soon topped the SoundCloud charts. The former Yalies are touring the country in support of their debut EP “Faded,” described by Neelu.com as “an eclectic escapade of a compilation.” “Faded” seems like an odd choice for a group who is just starting to shine.
