Popscene Presents: Yelle

Take the first letters of “You Enjoy Life” and you get YEL. Feminize that, and you get Yelle, which is the name of the band and the nom de stage of lead singer Julie Budet. Yelle met up with producer Jean Francois Perrier, who insists on being addressed as GrandMarnier. The two of them eventually teamed with producer Tanguy Destable, who goes by the name “Tepr.” Regardless of how they sign their autographs, the three are responsible for French electro-pop music that has fans on at least two continents, and which has been featured at Coachella trois times.
