Popscene: YOUNGR

Youngr is a solo outlet for Dario Darnell, a songwriter, producer, instrumentalist, and vocalist who makes eclectic, slightly left-of-center pop. The son of August Darnell, aka Kid Creole, Darnell made his (presumably) first recorded appearance back in the early ’90s, on his father’s To Travel Sideways. One of its songs featured wind chimes from him and sibling Lorne Ashley Brigham-Bowes, youngsters whose musical association extended into adulthood.
