San Francisco Green Film Fest: An American Ascent
Ain’t No Mountain High Enough?
Forget Superman and Batman, the real heroes on Earth are those actually fighting to save it, and having the decency to wear their underpants under their clothes. The San Francisco Green Film Festival, created by Rachel Caplan in 2011, is dedicated to screening films that not only capture environmental activism and social change, but also cause it, inspiring people to go out and join the Captain Planets all around them. In the film An American Ascent, with the goal of inspiring people of all colors, shapes, and fear levels to explore the wonders of nature, nine African Americans set out to climb Denali; America’s highest peak.
