It’s been a long and winding road for Luisa Black, but we’re happy to say she’s back in San Francisco. The girl with garage rock in her veins spent a stint in London, but the lure of the California indie scene was too strong to resist. Black’s new trio, Rich Girls, lives true to the garage rock ways of our forefathers. Their sound is reminiscent of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, if they grew up listening to stoner punk, chewing on nails instead of bubble gum. Rich Girls will be playing their next show at a private location, but rockers beware: they can show up anywhere, at anytime. I hope they do.
