The San Francisco Jewish Film Festival has been educating Goyim and Hebrews alike since 1980. It’s a celebration of all that is Jewish in the film community, from celebrated filmmakers, actors, screenwriters and beyond. Now they’re celebrating 35 years as a Bay Area institution that’s inspired Jewish film festivals around the world (to date, there’s over 150 worldwide, oy!). “Danny Says” follows the story of the little-known Jewish godfather of punk rock, he’s just like Vito Corleone except you only have to wait until the day of his daughter’s bat mitzvah to ask him a favor.
