SFIAF: Tomoko Momiyama

An original site-specific work created by composer Tomoko Momiyama and commissioned for the Festival by the U.S. / Japan Cultural Trade Network. The project has been inspired by conversations with Japanese-American and Native-American communities as well as specialists in different disciplines including seed science, migratory birds, and geology. The finished work will explore the issues of home and diaspora identities in the Bay Area and beyond.
