The Caribbean Allstars

The Caribbean Allstars must have a hard time figuring out what description to put on their business cards. “Carlos Santana’s Favorite Band” would be right up there. And “The Founding Fathers of Bay Area Roots Reggae” is also one to consider. As impressive as it sounds, “Jamaican reggae with a traditional electric bass-drums-guitars-keyboards lineup, with steel drums and South Caribbean calypso and Soca styles of Trinidad and Tobago” is just way too long for the conventional 3.5-in. X 2-in. format.  See one of the core bands of the Bay Area world music and dance community at this all-ages show.
