The Drowns
Proud Seattleites The Drowns have it all: soaring guitars, shout-along worthy tunes, power chords, and old school swagger. The Drowns have played all over the world, despite the relative newness of the band. It should be no surprise that these boys are actually veteran rockers, past bands include Madcap, who aren’t afraid to age into street punk. The Drowns’ sound harkens back to the good ol’ days of the early 2000s, and fans of both underground acts (think: the Pinehurst Kids) or the big bands (like Saves The Day or Ted Leo) will love it. Upbeat, with both a classic punk growler and a melodic vocalist, the Drowns’ sound is immediately recognizable yet still compelling and dance (or mosh?) worthy.
