New “FreeTix” program offers free last-minute tickets to popular Bay Area events
San Francisco, CA – April 19, 2019: RushTix, the Bay Area’s leading experience subscription, is launching the country’s first free ticket program. FreeTix is a brand new concept from RushTix offering last-minute tickets to curated events for free. The new program furthers the company’s mission to help audiences discover local arts and culture. “Social platforms have tricked us into thinking we’re more connected, but it’s an illusion. Studies show that experiencing live performance strengthens our bonds and connections with one another,” says Jill Bourque, Co-Founder and CEO of RushTix. “Our new FreeTix program makes it easier to tap into the true feeling of community through the amazing live experiences the Bay Area has to offer.”
Each day three new events are selected as “FreeTix” from the hundreds of experiences available on RushTix. FreeTix events are constantly-refreshed with new choices – ranging from comedy at Cobb’s, concerts at The Chapel to exclusive invitation-only events and hundreds more.
“In the Bay Area where there are so many things to do, our goal is to uncover the hidden gems to help you discover something new,” says Johnny Funcheap, COO of RushTix. “We love giving tickets to events for free so more people can enjoy them.”
FreeTix is completely free. But culture lovers who want more choices can upgrade to an optional RushTix paid plan for instant access to hundreds more curated events.
“RushTix provides fans an affordable and easy way to make live entertainment part of their regular habits, and not just a special occasion activity,” says Membership Expert, Robbie Kellman Baxter. “It’s also a great way for venues to maximize audience engagement—a true win/win.”
RushTix is the first-of-its-kind experience subscription. RushTix curates hundreds of events at exclusive members-only prices each month in the San Francisco Bay Area, with plans to expand to other cities soon. Founded in 2015, the company’s mission is to help people discover local arts and culture by building a vibrant community of culture lovers and experience creators.
RushTix was created by Jill Bourque and Johnny Funcheap, who joined forces to make arts and culture more accessible. Jill is a recovering stand-up comedian and producer of hundreds of local theater and comedy shows. Johnny is the mastermind behind Funcheap, the most popular source of fun things to do in San Francisco and the Bay Area.
