Sounds Good to Me: Singer/Songwriter, DJ, and Electropop

Your Hookup to Three Hot Bands This Week

By Adam Casalino – April 2, 2018

It’s here, my babies! A spring loaded with incredible experiences just waiting for you to enjoy. Yes, I know Amazon has a new season of Sneaky Pete, but you have to get out of the house sometime. What better way to remind yourself that you’re still alive than with some heart-pounding music? I know, I know, when and where? Get a load of three great shows happening very soon in the Bay Area. You won’t want to miss these.

Frankie Cosmos
Sat 4/14/18 @ The UC Theatre, Berkeley
That other Frankie told you to relax, but Frankie Cosmos is telling you to get down to some sweet tunes. The brainchild of New York native, Greta Kline, this product delves into her innermost thoughts and experiences. While exhibiting her impressive skills as a composer. She and her cohorts are producing sharp indie rock, pop, and lo-fi. That’s right kids, the 2000s lo-fi revolution is far from over. Frankie Cosmos is making sure it’s here to stay. They will be at the UC Theatre on April 14th.

Carlo Lio & Nathan Barato
Fri 4/13/18 @ Halcyon, San Francisco
Maybe lo-fi isn’t your thing. That’s okay, friends. Because San Francisco is simply bursting with an array of tasty genres. Sometimes you really need to feel your heart pounding. Sometimes, you need the music to wash over you like rays of pure light. That’s when you hit up the Halcyon for Carlo Lio & Nathan Barato. Carlo Lio is an impressive producer/DJ. His cosmos house sound will transport you to new places. Joining him is Nathan Barato. This Canadian DJ and producer is ready to lay down the freshest beats you can handle. It all goes down Friday, April 13th.

Elettrodomestico
Thu 4/12/18 @ The Chapel, San Francisco
Perhaps you’ve heard of The Go-Go’s. Of course you have. You’ll be happy to know that the founder of the all-female joint, Jane Wiedlin is back with a new project. Elettrodomestico is the product of Jane and Pietor Straccia. The music poured out of them after the death of David Bowie. That tragedy produced an innovative blend of rock, electropop, and psychedelic music. It’s an addictive sound worth of Bowie. And San Francisco. Where else can you find such a group, than The Chapel? They will be performing Thursday, April 12th.

Okay, so your plate is loaded with some incredible options. Why let another weekend slip you by when you can take in all this musical awesomeness? San Francisco is waiting for you to take it by the horns. Figuratively, of course. Any one of these shows will give you plenty to talk about at the water cooler (or post to your Instagram). But, you can only score these tickets (and more) when you book through RushTix. Go for it!
