And what better way to forget your blues, then with a healthy dose of great music? Gathered below are three of the hottest shows the Bay Area can dish up. So put down the remote, grab your dancing shoes, and get ready to rock out.

Curls
Sat 2/17/18 @ Cafe Du Nord, San Francisco
Singer and songwriter Christopher Owens got his start in a band called Girls. Since casting off into his own waters, he’s gathered together a cluster of impressive collaborators. Calling themselves Curls, they are dishing up some of the tastiest and most groundbreaking indie music you’ve ever heard. These eclectic collaborators are steadily working on their debut EP, but have the urge to entertain you live. Get a gander of this delightful trio when they hit up Cafe Du Nord.

Ayalew Mesfin
Sun 2/11/18 @ Cornerstone, Berkeley
You might not be familiar with Ethiopian funk, but boy will you be after this night! Legendary musician Ayalew Mesfin is making his triumphant return to the vibrant genre. Way back in the 70s, he lead the charge in his home country, playing a music that was literally banned by the government. But that’s not enough to silence a passionate artist! Now he is bringing back the music that an entire regime couldn’t quell. Be at Cornerstone when this living legend lights up the stage with his moveable, grooveable sound.

Tony Humphries
Sat 2/17/18 @ Halycon, San Francisco
Tony Humphries is basically a household name to countless DJs and House music fans. Because, without him, there probably wouldn’t be any. For over 35 years, Tony has been producing this cutting-edge sound. He was there at the beginning of the House music phenomena and he continues to innovate the style today. Few artists can boast that kind of record. Any fan of House music can’t miss a show featuring Tony. Good news, cuz he’s going to be at Halycon.

That’s a sampling of sounds that are sure to delight even the most discriminating listener. What excuse do you have not to get out and experience some mind-blowing music? A fun night with your friends–or an amazingly awesome date–are yours for the taking. It’s sure to give you something to chat about the next day. But, you can only get in on these shows if you book through RushTix. Thankfully, we’re here to oblige!
