A Night at Gatsby’s – 1/26

Speak-easy and get down with an elite crowd of the young and beautiful, as the infamous Lana Del Rey sang about. This party theme is a favorite among the San Francisco scene, a city known for Prohibition-era speakeasies and free-spirits.

Symphonic Series: Britten & Bernstein – Thu 1/31 

Berkeley Symphony presents the world premiere of Disillusioned Dreamer, a newly commissioned orchestral piece by Hannah Kendall inspired by a phrase from Ralph Ellison’s Invisible Man, followed by Berkeley Symphony’s first performance of Benjamin Britten’s Four Sea Interludes from Peter Grimes.

Science of Cocktails – Fri 2/8

Shake up your night with some of the Bay Area’s best bartenders, and enjoy inventive libations, cocktail-related science programs, delectable bites, and much more—all to celebrate 50 years of curiosity with the Exploratorium.

1st Annual Sunday Winter Bliss – Sun 1/27

The Tenderloin Tour – Sat 1/19 – Fri 1/25

The Tenderloin Tour revives the “prime cuts” of Tenderloin, Cutting Ball’s original documentary-style play from 2012 about its neighborhood, in a one-hour touring production.

Après Yoga & Brew – Sat 2/9

We will practice yoga in the taproom before doors open to the public and then connect in community over a fresh pint of Anchor’s finest after class, or Après Yoga!

Beginner Yoga Class – Sun 1/20 – Sun 2/17

A perfect introduction to the basic Sivananda class. More instruction, more warm-ups, and a slower pace. Tone and stretch. Abbreviated breathing exercises to calm and balance the body and mind.

Disney on Ice presents “Dare To Dream” at Oracle Arena – Wed 2/27

Celebrate what’s possible as the adventures of five daring Disney heroines (including Moana, in her Disney on Ice debut) spark the courage inside us all at Disney On Ice presents Dare To Dream.

When We Were Young and Unafraid – Sat 1/26 – Thu 2/7

Stacy Ross returns to Custom Made to star in this vital play, set the early 1970’s, where Agnes (Ross) has turned her quiet bed and breakfast into one of the few spots where victims of domestic violence can seek refuge.

When Art Met Architecture – Thu 1/31 

Join acclaimed architect Takashi Yanai, FAIA, partner of Ehrlich Yanai Rhee Chaney (EYRC), and notable artist Johannes Girardoni, for a lively discussion to learn about living with art and designing homes that honor it.

LEVYsalon: Dance Performance Showcase – Sat 1/26 – Sun 1/27

LEVYdance hosts a recurring micro-residency, LEVYsalon, that provides multidisciplinary artists with 10 hours each of free rehearsal space to work, create, explore & develop ideas and themes.

A.C.T.’s Edward Albee’s Seascape – Fri 1/25 

In this wildly imaginative and satirical comedy, a newly retired couple picnics on a beach and squabbles about their life together when they are interrupted by two human-sized, English-speaking lizards.
